Front window help

I read the post on window bushing replacement and had no trouble with the rear windows got them working great but the front ones are giving me a heck of a time. Replaced the bushings put the motor back in but Im having trouble alinging the rivet holes with the motor back plate. Any tips ,is it better to have the widow up or down? Thanks for your help.

My driver's side went on with no problem. The passenger side was a pain. Windows were up in both instances.
