Hi!
Off course I didn't buy my Explorer because of it's low fuel consumption.
I bought it because I like the car!
But when the price for gas here in Sweden is about $6,2 per gallon it's always nice to be able to reduce the consumption.
A light foot on the throttle and correct tire pressure is a good start!
But, are there any other ways? Tuning chip? Different intake/air filter?
On a previously owned BMW I took away the air filter "box" and replaced it with a open filter. That gave me a quite nice engine sound and better throttle response. To my great joy I even saw big difference in the fuel consumption. Does anyone have the same exprience with the Explorer?
Best regards!
