Fuel filter maybe?

Its wierd when im cruising at like 45+ and i press the pedal down a good amount it will accelerate more but then be a loud bang and kick it in even more im wondering if the filter is maybe just close to clogged im going to replace it anyway was just wondering if anyone has had a similar thing happen with their ex

Usually too much fuel in the combustion chamber and it's actually finishing detonation in your catalytic converter. Throwing any codes?

nope not throwing any codes and its being doing this for a while
