Thanks for looking in - I've got an 03 Ex that the fuel gauge works sometimes - nothing from tapping the dash or driving errratically makes it work but turn the key the next day and it's working again. Any ideas?

Could be a bad sending unit

put a can of chevron with techron fuel treatment in the gas occasionally, this works for my wife's 03 that sticks occasionally. been doing this for 3 years, cheaper than dropping the gas tank to replace the sending unit.

more than likely the sending unit but in my old dodge truck it had a bad ground. Maybe something to check not really that sure. Hope it helps

It's the fuel sending unit. It's all over the web. Mine happens the first day or two after I fill it up. I have even thrown a code in the past once or twice and the check engine light came on. The code was
42xx - Fuel Level Sending Unit Volts Too High (or Too Low)
It always just goes away so I don't worry about it. It's just annoying.
