Is there any reason to worry about fuel injectors with a higher milage vehicle? I have 180,000 miles on my X and am wondering if I need to replace the injectors. Or do I even need to worry about them? Can they wear out slowly or do they usually just go bad and not work at all.
I know they can get dirty and need a cleaning, but do they just get "tired" and not perform as well they used to with alot of miles on them. I just want to make sure that I'm getting the best milage and performance I can from the older engine.
Is there a test that I can do on them to see if there up to spec?
Are the injectors checked when you either do a "KOEO" or "KOER" test?
