Only every couple of days while i am driving, i can smell gas. So i get out and cannot see anything leaking. Well it goes away after i stop my car at the store or somthing, and when i drive back home the smell is gone. Well today it was really strong, so i pulled over and saw it leaking. I raced home and tried to find the leak but it had stopped, and i could not find a leak. I turned the engine over and let it idle for 10 min.... no leak, revved the engine to 1500 rpm for about a min. got out and checked... No leak. I cannot seem to be able to trace the leak anywhere, but i know that it will start to leak again. I do not want my explorer to catch on fire. Today when i saw it leaking it was coming from somewhere high up in the engine compartment. I have checked the lines to the fuel filter and as far up into the engine compartment as i can see. I do not see a leak. Does anyone have an idea on where it might be coming from. Also, my explorer has steel braded fuel lines,(not sure if they are stock). Oh, and its a 91 explorer.

Thanks
