where does the vent hose go from the fuel tank? i'm installing my fuel tank again and didn't see where it came off. i know the lines, and the fill tube and the fill tube vent, but theres a third line. where does that hookup? i'm guessing it goes to the carbon canister, but wheres the hookup?

It should hook into the EVAP system

hmm, that would explain the smell of fuel i'd have after i stop driving and get out.

thanks, i'll hook it up right when i put the new fuel pump in.

It's odd that you didn't get a CEL code if the EVAP was not able to build vacuum

haha i got 7 codes i'm dealing with right now, maybe the ECU is full? or the EVAP vaccum lines could be clogged or something, so it has pressure built.

i'll see about that once i get my tank / pump service done :P

hey you wouldn't know where the evap hooks up underneath?

this pic help ?

hose on the left should be what you need to look for

yea i know where it is on the tank, but where does it go to on the frame? its hooked up on the tank side

2nd pic

ok here it is on the frame on top just behind the brace that holds tank strap not really alot of pressure in the hose so if you need to run a longer piece of flex gas line their to make it easier on you go for it :)

alright thanks. it seems to start up a lot easier now. and absolutely no smell of gas whatsoever!

Was there a hissing noise? I have a hissing noise coming from near my gas tank. This is not the distinctive "hum" from the fuel pump - it's something else.

Are you receiveing a CEL, I would think an evap leak like that would cause a CEL

i couldn't tell if I had a hissing noise or not. I don't think i did, but its possible.

yes the EVAP wasn't hooked up, and it never threw a CEL.

how was your idle before u fixed this? Mine doesn't want to stay down below 1,000 and it hangs at 1500 after being gassed
