Hi new member here - thanks for such a great resource!!

1993 XLT 4.0 360K !!

I'm trying to change the fuel filter, my repair manual says the best way to pressurize the fuel system is to unplug the sensor that shuts off the fuel in the event of an accident. The book says its behind the glove box in 93 and in the pax foot well 94 and on.

I cant find it in either location truth is i dont know what im looking for help!

Thanks

Just pull the Fuel pump relay from under the hood.

Run the truck till it stalls the fuel line will then be depressurised.

Or pull the fuel pump fuse, or let the car sit for a while, or get a fuel pressure gauge with a pressure relief button, which will help diagnose future fuel problems.
