I got into a conversation today with a few people about whether or not they considerd their vehicles "fun to drive" so I figured I'd ask yall about yer Xs
I enjoy my x... in my continual search for a new vehicle, I have yet to find anything that cost less that $25000 that I enjoy as much as my current X... I dunno, i think its just that special bond between car and driver...

I love to drive my X. I dreamed about it for over a year while saving money and comparing and so now everyday is like a dream come true. But on the opposite side of the fence, I would much rather it be a hot clear night so I can take my Vette out. Nothing better than cruising with the tops off on a moonlit night. Ahhh I'm so glad spring is finally here.
The X is the most fun truck I've ever driven. What isn't there to love about it?
ALthough a new Cobra would be kind of cool too. But you can't 4 wheel with a mustang...realistically.
I love my X!
Recently theres been a really loud really bad grinding noise and it feels like the engines going to fall out at any second, so as of the past couple days, its been hell to drive.
i voted for its a blast..... my truck is faster than all the stupid ricers out here, impresses all the girls... and makes me smile when stupid kids almost drive off the road starring at it......
it used to be FUN to drive. until i put big tires and lift on. now its not as fun because i accelerate like a dump truck. i get lots of looks now and that's kind of fun.
my wife has a new a4. that is FUN to drive.
my X is only really fun to drive off road. then its really fun to drive.
No I don't like to drive my X. For two reasons. First is that with the lift and tires it doesn't handle too well as a daily driver. And second...Don't get me wrong. My truck has been reliable since I bought it from my sister. But I have a personal problem with my rig. It's not very fast, it isn't pretty, it doesn't have a lot of prestige and it doesn't massage my ego. (pretty superficial but true) And most people want to know why I bothered to build up an X for wheelin'. I get that all the time and I'm tired of justifying it. If I had a Jeep it would be simpler for people to understand. Everybody understands why I have a Classic Mustang convertible, and that is fun to drive. (On sunny weekends). But the X has such a reputation as a grocery getter that most people point and giggle when they see my lifted rig. My fellow 4 wheelin' friends are always telling me I should stop putting money into my X and buy a "real' 4 wheeler. I've given out links to Rick's truck so many times I have the link written on a piece of paper in my wallet! It's just a lot of work. And that damned Firestone thing only made things worse. And the war isn't helping any these days either.
What I DO love is this site. I get so much support and information. I've had occasion to visit other wheeling sites (Xterra and Jeep) and the attitudes there suck. We're the unsupported ugly stepchilred and we stick together!
i get so much crap all the time for my truck.... screw em all... i love my truck...... its been my best friend for a long time..... and i treat her like **** and she still works!
My X is lifted and it is harder to drive than it used to be. But is is way more fun now. Kids look at it and point and wave. In the suburbs, it is an urban assualt vehicle. It is an ugly truck, and people in their shinny bmws always yield the right of way. It makes Christmas shopping fun again.
Off-road it roots!
I had to go with Ya, it's fun. It's a lot of fun to play in the mud and climb some moderate hills. Realisticly I'm an old school hot rodder and I really miss smoking tires at will. Not to mention for a 4x4 I'd rather have a full sized bronco. However the X is almost paid off, and I have a 302 sitting beside the house so it'll get better, plus once she's paid off I'm going to look at some Harley's
I liked driving my old explorer. I got lots of attention from people. But i didnt miss the really crapy mpg. My new truck if a Blast to drive. Lots more power then the explorer, way better mpg and the seats are WAY more comfy( took a 14 hour road trip once and my butt didnt hurt). One thing i dont like about the new truck is I keep spining the rear tires. I just need to lay off the gas to solve that but what fun would that be
I have loved driving all of my Explorer's. Each for different reasons. The 91 was great to drive since I didn't really give a poop. I drove over stuff and into everything. I used to love to go flying into work, Fresh Blacktop. I would fly in there and power slide, white tire smoke, tons of noise and everyone would stare.
Now with BM, I love to cruze, take it easy and let the 20"s spin. But when I need to I can fly arround corners, take off quick and it is flat and smooth! I love the attention I get in this X!
But you can't 4 wheel with a mustang...realistically.
