2013 Explorer Limited
We need something positive on this site, so here it is... I don't do this often...

I've only owned my 2013 Ex Limited since the beginning of November. I bought it with six miles and up until right now, have only put 267 miles on it.
(I am a pilot by profession so it sits in the garage most of the time.)

It is a beautiful day in the area of the northeast that I live in, albeit cooler out. I decided to take it out for a drive. I started it up with the remote start, let it warm up in the garage, and off I went.

The Ex drives absolutely incredible. Like a Cadillac, but still gives me the SUV feeling that I want. Looking to the middle of the dash, I have an entire slew of functions, options, and information all at my fingertips that is working perfectly and reliable; just what a pilot wants ;-)

Driving down the road, I announce to set 'My Temp' and my perfect, temperature is set. Sirius' Alt Nation channel is playing, and I can tap to the travel link to find out where is good to top off the tank.

After a quick fill and a rinse in the brushless car wash, I'm on my way home. No rattles, no leaks, no pops, nothing. This is the third explorer I have owned and eighth car overall and undoubtedly the nicest automobile to ever be parked in my garage.

I know we all have issues, some bigger than others, but overall in my opinion, for the $49,500 price tag, I couldn't have done better. I hope my luck with my Sterling Silver 'Lead Sled' Ex continues... I am a happy Ford owner.

Oh, I hope to awake to that reality some day. Glad to hear you are having a great experience with your Ex.

Stories like this make my day, JustAiks! Here's an Explorer badge that you can show off around here and all of your other hangouts on the web: http://social.ford.com/grab-a-badge/explorer/yes/?fmccmp=fs-social-advoshare-badge

nice story! I can't wait to take my Sport around the twisty mountain roads of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Some snobbish people have wondered why I bought a Ford instead of a Beemer or Lexus. I tell them because I have bought only Fords since 1986 and have had great luck with them. I have about every option available on my 2013 Explorer and cannot think of anything else I would want. Plus I paid a heck of a lot less than the "luxury" SUV owners pay.

I'm sitting here now trying to think of something a 'snobbish' car has that our Fords don't. Can't think of anything. When I get in my Ex, I feel as snobbish as the next BMW owner. :D
