All the dash lights and heating control panel lights suddenly dissapeared in my truck two nights ago, yet the cigarette lighter and interior lights still work. It seemed like a simple fuse problem. However I pulled every fuse out of the panel and there was no blown fuse. My book doesn't list which fuse is the dash one so could someone tell me or show me a pic of which one it is or what color so that I can replace it or if that doesn't work, try working my way back from it?

Thanks, in advance...

Did you check the fuses under the hood also?

sounds to me like a problem with the dimmer switch, not the fuse. The dimmer switch (on my truck it's the headlight knob that rotates) will cause the interior lights to go out if it's bad. Either that or you pinched a wire somewhere (ashtray, radio) and it's grounding out.....

I second Fortune. You sure you didn't accidently turn the dimmer to off???

problem solved

It turns out that the problem resulted from installing my amp and subs. One of the wires in the harness that I didn't use (I think it was the dimmer wire) had poked itself out of the harness (I'd wrapped it in electrical tape) and was grounding out on the stereo.
