- 2003 Explorer Sport XLT
I have a 2 DR Explorer Sport XLT. My question deals with finding some help with the fuses. I went to have a key made yesterday and the previous owner had totally messed up the ignition. They moved the antennae and take a transponder from one of their keys and hot glued it to the antennae and placed it under the dash. So basically anyone could start the car without a transponder key, pretty secure huh? Anyways, when they did this they also removed a fuse, I believe so they could remove an automatic start that might have been installed at one point. Anyways, it was fuse 17, I put a 10 amp fuse in it so the diagnostic tool would work for the locksmith, but can someone tell me if a 10 amp fuse was right, or if I need a bigger or smaller one?
