I'm hoping that someone may have some advice for a couple of issues I am having with my Explorer. The major issue at hand, given that we are experiencing colder than normal temps, is that air is coming in from my glove compartment. The faster you go, the more air comes in. I am hoping this is an easy fix, maybe the door has fallen.

The second issue is that when you turn the thermostat to the highest setting on heat and the lowest setting on cold, there is a loud clicking noise. In the summer, it feels as though it is not cooling properly, but the freon tests come back normal. Maybe these two issues are related. I just don't want to take it to a mechanic and be taken advantage of.

Any suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!! :salute:

The clicking sounds like the Blend Door Actuator. Here is the thread for the repair: How To: Replace Blend Door Actuator in 3rd Gen Ex

There are several threads pertaining to the cold air through the glove compartment issue: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/search.php?searchid=8377016

Good luck getting it sorted. :D:thumbsup:

Please keep us posted as feedback helps others reading this post looking for a fix to the same or similar issue!
