Gas cap

Bought a new Bonneville but took off some of the stuff from the Explorer. I remembered this thread and will sell my locking cap for $15 with free shipping. You can use this one with the strap, it has the loop groove. The Stant's are the best made! I also have a second key for it not pictured so you will get two.

I have a 2004 Eddie Bauer. Even Ford does not have a locking gas cap for it yet. It is screw in type. All the other Fords I have owned, have been a slip in and turn. As for the strap!! That is the first thing to go on all my cars. I think they are kind of stupid.

It's twist and turn, then two turns to lock it.

Well I thought it was a good idea, especially for this price!! Check out the stant caps at http://www.ponyperformance.com on the clearance page.. $9 shipped. He said via email it fits all ford screw in filler necks.. we'll see when mine arrives.

Make sure you get the right cap from them. Use the part number (10502) on the box from my pic. The wrong cap pressure will screw up your PCM and give you the CEL.

Why not just go to ExplorerExpress and get you one? It will fit and they guarantee it. It also has the pretty little strap thing on it. I will be getting one on my next order from them.

I finally got mine thru my dealer. As I had said, it is a screw in type, not push in and turn. It was listed as Mexico only.
