Gas milage/Miles nother question...

The gas guage doesnt work what would you expect the gas milage to be on a 1993 ford explorer 4'' lift on 31's 4.0 automatic? andddd more impotranly how many miles could i got on a full tank of gas?? thats now im gunna get around haha

Welcome to the site, gas milage is kinda tricky, it depends on alot of different things, so almost impossible to say per truck.

my guage is not working on a '91 I just got and I think I have figured about 130 miles on $20 at $2.27/gal. I keep a small gas can in the back so I know I can at least make it to a gas station if I run out. RaiderKC is right tho it's hard to relie on someone elses MPG every Ex is different. Keep a can of gas with you and run it till it dies put $20 in then run it till it dies again then you know.

Welcome to this forum! I can go about 160-180 miles on $50 gas when gas is about $2.75 a gallon.

i fill my '93 (4.0, automatic stock height on 31" bfg's) full every time i get gas and I'm usually around 230 miles by E

of course, it depends on how you drive, how much is city and highway driving etc. where i live i don't do much stop and go driving, so it helps. if i had no gas gauge, i would probably not go more than 150 miles between fill ups, just to be safe. and the gas can in the back sounds like a good idea as well.
