the pin that holds the throttle mechanism together is slowly starting to slide out. It happened a few weeks ago and i took a hammer and was able to tap it back in but it's happening again.

This pin is the pivot point for the gas pedal. The pin slides out to the left towards the brake, it's roughly a 1/2 inch diameter. Is there something that is supposed to fasten that pin in place?
How do i fix it?
