Does anyone know how to make the gas pedal a lil harder to push? My Xs gas pedal is real soft, and I like them hard! Like my dad's expedition, its nice and hard. Is it as simple as replacing the spring?

Is anyone elses gas pedal real soft?

I wonder if I could get a spring for an expedition and fit it to work on an explorer.

Any sugestions?

Thanks

try the throttle cable mod, this reduces slack in the throttle system.

The only thing about getting a stronger spring is you've gotta make sure the cruise module is strong enough to pull it.

Another consideration is that if you put too much strain on the pedal it will fall off! They do it now with the "light" pedal so cannot be expected to stand up to a heavy pedal.
Not a nice thing to happen on the Interstate.

Would tighten up the pivot point of the gas pedal(seems possible by looking at it) have a negative effect on the cruise control thing alec is talking about. I would think this would make the gas pedal "harder"...

thats a good point, i never thought about the cruise control.......aw well, i thought i would ask cause sometimes driving for a while my foot gets tired cause i have to hold my foot back from pushing harder, not gas pedal

that's what cruise is for.

sounds like you sit too close to the steering wheel
move the seat back and it will reduce the angle on your ankle and you wont get as tired.
