Gas tank size?

How large is the gas tank on a 2000 Sport with 4.0 SOHC???

Can't remember the exact size, but I know it's a couple gallons less then 4dr gas tanks. I think they are somewhere around 17-18 gallons though.

ok well get this........ ive driven about 30 miles since i last filled up, i didnt overfill it i turned it off when the pump clicked it off.......well im almost at half tank......that would give me like what? 3-4 mpg? thats ****......unless my gauge was stuck or something

I'm gonna say your gauge was stuck. If it wasn't then there is something seriously wrong with your truck.

well i bought it used with about 63,000 mi. on it, dont have a clue what kind of service was done to it but isnt it about time for fuel filter/plugs/wires and all that to be done? will that stuff increase mileage?

maybe your tank wasnt full. how many gallons did you put in? Sometimes mine clicks the pump when it is not full.

the needle went up to full, so i have no doubt it was full, it was almost 1/8th of a tank and it said i put 14 gallons in

About a year ago my truck was burning gas like crazy. IT ending up being some thing wrong with my injectors pumping in to much fuel. Had to replace my injectors and my cadalytic convertor.

well im hoping someone in my family just drove it without me knowing......not exactly sure on the mileage its been driven, but if im the only one that has driven it, then the 30 miles is correct, im going to reset the trip tomorrow night when i fill up and find out for real
