Gauge light bulb replacement

Dear @all,

one bulb that illuminates the water temp gauge went out last weekend, is it easy to replace the bulb?

If you mean one of the bulbs which are sitting in the instrument cluster, than yes, very easy to replace.

Morning Lukas,

thank you for answering and submitting this thread. But that won’t answer my question. Was not sure how to get the gauge panel out. Checked FoMoCo ’07 Explorer workshop manual and finally found an exploded view. Ya know, pictures can tell more than 1000 words. So in the meanwhile light bulb is already changed out.

Well, weather is still fine over here, was sunny, mid 80s yesterday evening. Parked the Ex near the stable yesterday evening and took my pony for a ride into the sunset…

Hi Jo,

normally I take pictures when working on my car.
But removing the instrument cluster is so easy and selfexplaining that I think this is not nessesary.
