Gauge needle removal

Hey, I wanted to get the gauge face out, but need the needles removed first. How would I go about doing this. I don't want to mess up the calibration or whatever.

You won't be able to remove the needles without messing up the calibration... The best you can do is take a before picture, pull off the needles, then put them back on in what appears to be the same positions. I've done this though, and invariably at least one needle (usually the speedo) is off and will need to be set by driving at a known speed using a friend to pace you (or your tach) and then putting the needle on in the right position.

If you don't have a tool to remove the needles, you can use a fork and gently pry them off.
