The gear indicator in the gauge cluster of my 97 seems to be peeling along the top and bubbling a little. Is there a reason to this? Like maybe the dealership installing too high a wattage of bulb or does this occur often?
Thanks

I dunno but mine's done the same thing, and has looked the same since 1997 when I first drove it (belonged to my brother in law then)

It looked like it was supposed to be that way so I left it alone.

I'm not sure but it seems that mine has gotten worse recently...anyone else got this problem?

Never heard of this one... Maybe an issue with sun reflecting off of something and being concentrated on a particular spot at a particular time of day? It sometimes happens on motorcycles with aftermarket wind screens (acts like a reflector or a magnifying glass at certain times of day when the sun hits it at just the right angle...)

Just a guess... no idea though. Sorry.

hmm...I guess that could be it. I'm assuming the only way to fix it would get a new cluster at a junkyard or order one new?
