Ok, i know another gear thread...im sorry...but my mileage is killing me. I have 31s now, but plan on going to 33s in the near future. I have 3.55 now and i want to get better mileage and slighty more power (i know i cant have both) I dont wanna have no acceleration and all mpg, but i dont want to have all accelration and no mpg if you know what im saying...OK the question is, do i want 4.10s or 4.56s. (I wont regear till right after the 33s). My mpg right now is like 11-12. someone with some suggestions help me out. Thanks.

When was your last tune-up? That would affect your mpg. Now about the gears. I personally say 4.56s. They will give you some nice power (similar to 3.73s and stock tires), and you have the option to move up in tire size a bit. Especially with the 4.0 OHV. Some people go with 4.10s, but I doubt that the difference in these gears with 33s would make a big enough difference where you would prefer 4.10s over 4.56s. Just my opinion.

i think i'd go with the 4.56's as well :)

Might as well, if you wheel it you'll wan the extra multiplication :)

4.56 definetly...dont even consider the 410s

and damn you millage sucks....i get 18-20 all the time with 31's 3.73 gears and a bunch of **** on my roof :D

i know my mpg sucks BIG TIME, i drive like there is an egg on the pedal and can never break 14 mpg i HATE it....i need options; if only i could find some cheap gears and find someone to install it for less than 350 per axle (offers ive been getting around here)

Dang, I know one shop who does regears for 200 + parts. Are you saying that local places are telling you 350 PLUS gears, or 350 total per axle.

350 per axle if i bring the gears

Wow, that's way overpriced. Is that what other shops said too, or just that one place? Another reason why 4.56s would be better is because you always here those regrets "I should have gotten lower gears". Hiridin felt that he needed 4.88s for 35s (he had 4.56s and thought they were too high) so I think 4.56 would be perfect. Especially because of the cost of the regear for 33s. Don't wanna have to go back and do it again when you move up to 35s (you know you want to :D)

the only thing that is holding me back is the price...itll cost me over 1000 to do, and i can buy alot of gas for 1000...but i dont know i just wanna find some used 456s and do it, but i dunno...something has got to be done
