I have a 1991 ford explorer 2wd v6 eddie bauer edt. I was wondering if I put it in park to put the shifter cabel back on the gear selector or do I do it in a different gear?
The needle should be adjusted with the selector in the OD range. Adjust the needle by removing the steering column shroud and loosening the set screw on the column. Put the needle on the OD mark by sliding the white plastic cable sheath and tighten the screw. That should do it for you. Its pretty easy once you look at it.
