Hi,
Great forums! I'm looking to find info to repair this.
2006 Ford Explorer Limited Advanced track V8
1) My O/D light does not come on with the start engine system check.
2) My O/D switch on the side of my console stick shift does not work.
3) When just cruising at between 45-55 and 1700-1800 rpm, touching the gas pedal causes the Overdrive gears to flip in and out causing jerking. I have to accelerate hard to smooth it out or put on the cruise control.
The problem seems to have gone away today as I left the battery disconnected over night. Is that the correct solution.
