gears question

im looking to put better gears in my stock 97 v8 awd x
1) which gears do i have?
2) which gears should i get?
3) were would i get these gears?
4) are gears hard to install?(i have some wrenching capabilities!!)

i'm guessing u have 3.73's right now but just check your axle code or your rear diff tag and u can find out. unless you plan on putting larger than stock tires or heavier wheels/tires i would just leave it be. for the money it costs for gears u can step up the performance engine wise rather than putting lower gears in it. otherwise step up to 4.10's though that'll probably hurt gas mileage some. can u do it yourself? that depends, some people comprehend it better than others. i'd want a professional to do it.
