I plan to get a 4" lift from Trailmaster I am looking for a tire that will fit my budget. I want to know if anyone has any comments on the General MT's. I plan to buy 31X10.50R15's and American Racing 767 rims in place of my stock rubber and wheels. I wanted to get KO's, but I can't get the lift and the tires at the same time and stay within my budget. Let me know what experiances you've had with the MT's.

I've heard that the General M/T's are just as good as the BFG's...I don't have personal exprience with them but this fall I plan on pickin up a set of them...They're quite a bit cheaper than the BFG's and I'm told that is the name you are paying for....Oh well that's my word...hope it helps ya...

Matt, I've run General M/Ts on a truck before and never had a problem. They wore about the same as any mud tire I've run and like you stated they are cheaper. I had 35s when I had them. They have a 2 ply sidewall and the BFGs have 3, thats the major difference.

Kamp,

Are the MT's softer than the KO's as well? I want an aggressive tire that loks and works well. I do mostly street driving so what do you think. Will these tire last or should I look for something else?

Congrats on the Hanks mud run! I bet that trophy is nice an shiney! :)

Thanks.

I don't have a clue as to what tread compound either tire has, so I don't know which would be softer. The generals should last about 40k. The bfg MTs usually last about the same. I would'nt look for anything else, I'd never run anything but a mud tire, but thats just me. You never know when you might need them and I'm addicted to the howling.

Howling....

I like the inspiration Kamp, thanks!

i ran them >

they did not last as long as my dunlops ,or have the same traction . try out dunlops they work very well in snow and mud , and they lasted me fo 70,00 miles , the tread was still good but the robber was cracking on the sidewalls . 7 years old it happens . the generals only lasted 34,000 miles
