Okay fellas heres a question,, give it some thought,

Did you buy your X because of the features and the general age?

Or
Did you buy your X because of it's what you could afford?

I drive a 2k2 Sport, Fully loaded, but i wanted, A Eddie B, model.
Also the age of 24 so I still like the sporty look of the 2door look, Let me know what you all think? :burnout:

i wanted 4x4 in the winter and i liked the look of the 01 sport, agressive front end. also price was a factor, my other choice was a pontiac grand prix gtp. there were more explorers sitting used on car lots. i was able to pick one up loaded with low miles at about the same price.

I bought mine because it had alot more room than my 93 stang gt, plus it had an extended warranty till 75k miles. my stang was going to need about $1500 worth of parts (my cost at the shop I worked at) just to get through inspection. It was cheaper in the long run to trade it for the X. They gave me $4500 for it w/ 135k miles, I just forgot to tell them it was only running on 6 cylinders (nitrous mishap at cecil county dragway)

i got mine...well cause i had wanted it from the day my aunt drove it home..i drolled over it forever..then when i got the chance to get it wqas like H*LL yeah!!! i got a REALLY good deal on it..but that was not a factor..i wanted it from the day i was taken home..and i had MANY really cool memories in it with my cusion's...ect just good times in my childhood where in this truck so that was a big factor also..i HAD to have a LIMITED i had my hart set on this truck..but if i dident get it i knew what i got had to be a limited..i know i got OT a little but still that's why i got my truck

i LOVE my truck and NEVER want to get rid of it!!!

My lifestyle made it clear to me that I needed a 4x4 with a bit of clearance.
I am a ford guy so my choices were already restricted.
F-150 and up, as well as Expediton and up are to big for inner city driving IMO. This left me with the escape , ranger, or explorer.
I have a four year old so there went the ranger.
The escape really isn't anything more than a glorified station wagon. So I bought an explorer.
Almost bought a jeep grand cherokee though.

i got my 94 4 door becuase my parents already owned it, and had other cars... and i accidentally wrecked mine... so eventually they let me borrow it... then set me up on a payment plan, and 6 months later kicked me out of the house and said it was a gift... i lived in it for the next 3 months till i totalled it 9one of the many times in its life).....

Well it seems like price is kinda of the Main factor, I also considered the Escape but started to look around town and saw alot of either old people driving it or chicks driving it! Clearly this is not a vehicle movement that I wanted to be apart of. Also even though it snows a lot in the Washington Dc area, ( total of 3 inches ) this year I really needed a low 4 wheel drive option! Going through such rough conditions justified this thought, of getting a true 4wheel drive,vs. all wheel drive. My dad was wanting me to purchase a Forester, (no way) was that going to happen, but i also do hate to say it but i like the Jeep Cheerokie), sp, but i didnt really understand the Quad Trac system in it! Plush it was a few more grand then I was wanting to spend. Maybe next time I'll go for the EddieB, or Limited, If you fellas have either 2 of those trucks ! good going.... Love the looks of those. Does anyone think the price of Suv's will go down now w/ all the cross over vehicals (ie) lexus rx, chrysler, nissian, ect. Mini van moms kinda screwed us i think on being able to buy a traditional Suv. That's just my opinion which doesnt matter a whole he!! of a lot!! just a thought or 2. thanks for the response

From the beginning I new I wanted a 4x4 because it was the thing to get in '97.

I was originally in a market for a Chevy Blazer. I saw one I really like. It was a conversation type Blazer. The dealer couldn't give me the loan interest that I wanted. They wanted 12.9% interest! So I left and saw a big sign down the road it says, "5.9% Ford Financing Available". So I checked it out and I was surprised I could afford an Explorer. It was just a matter of choosing the right trim. :)
