Ok, i have a chirping noise that has been bugging me for months now. Im almost certain it's the Alternator!

I would like to purchase a 130amp Alt. Most likely from Mr.Alternator.com

My question is...will i have to do any modifications to install the new Alt? I hope i can just bolt it on, and use the same belt?

Thanks

Don

Great! I dont want no hassle. ;)

You purchase yours from Mr.Alternator? If so, do the give instructions on how to install everthing?

Hey bro. I just saw that Mr. Alternator wants about $180 for a 130 amp. I got a 130 amp from advance auto for about $120. I would deff. call around and get some prices.

Man, ive had the worst morning.

I called around and priced some Alt, cheapest was $110 from Advanced(Cheapbrand). I wound up getting a 130 from A Ford dealer(Motorcraft), i paid $180+++!

Came home and noticed the Alt didnt have a pulley. So i called and asked why? They told me they come that way and i needed to come back so they and take the old pulley from the old Alt and "Press" the pulley on the new Alt. The cost of this would be $35. But they ended up giving me a break. :) So i paid $20 to get the pulley pressed.

As i was trying to install the new Alt, i ran into a few problems. So i tried logging on to get some help, the site was down. But i eventually got the damn thing on.

Im dead tired(up for more then 36 hours) . Gotta get some sleep.

Thanks

Yup, i sure did.

I dont buy from Ebay, i dont trust anyone who sells there crap there! I would much rather spend more and know what im getting.
