Hello all,
I would like to purchase the following items:
1. WAR153 shackles
2. Flowmaster 50 SUV Dual 2.25 in single 3 out muffler
3. 1" body lift pucks (Al or plastic)

Are there any online Canadian stores that have these parts at a resonable price. www.driverfx.ca, (aka Keystone) carries every product you could ever need for an X. However, the prices are off the wall. For example:

driverfx.ca any US online retailer (jegs, summit, etc etc)
WAR153 $100 CDN $44 US (50 CDN)
Flowmaster $208 CDN $99 US (118 CDN)

Now in most cases by the time you add shipping, US tax, Canadian tax, Canadian duty you still end up paying less than at driverfx. ie The flowmaster muffler deliverd to my door via UPS from jegs is 170 CDN. The flowmaster deliverd to my door from driverfx is 290 CDN. What gives!!! So why not just buy from jegs you ask.... Because they will only ship UPS/major carrier and last time I had something shipped, UPS wanted $140 in additional shipping and handleing fees for a $56 dollar part. I wil not explain all the details but it has to do with customs and the breaking the $24 US mark. Why on earth is it so hard to get parts in Canada at a resonable price?

Are there any loop holes with customs or tricks of the trade that will ensure parts bought in the US will make it into Canada without insane fees.

Thanks in advance.

As I rant it may also be worth noting that anything you find on the driverfx can be ordered through Canadian Tire plus some markup less the shipping. However, Canadian Tire will ask you to pay full price for the item in advance, then charge you a 20% restocking fee when they accidentaly order the wrong part. That is if they ever receive the parts. Last time I order 4 Rancho 9000's it took 1 month to get them, 2 of which were the wrong parts, waited another month before i finally had all 4. This of course were part that, according to Candian Tire, were in stock and they could have within 3 days. Im at a loss people. The space station gets parts faster than people in Canada do.
