Looking to purchase a SL 5.5 w/ extended radius arms and 33/12.5/15 xterrains on AE 589 15X10.
1)Do I need to get a steering stabilizer?

2)Do I need to remove the spacers and shackles?

3)What offset or backspacing should I get?

4)Anything else I need to get?

Thanks for any info.
I would like to order this in a day or two.

I run a 15x8 with a 3.75" backspacing and thinks it works real well, I personally wouldn't do a 10" but I see several packages only allow that.

I would suggest, but not say a steering stabilizer is absolutely necessary(stay away from skyjackers steering stabilizer the mounts blow)

If you keep the shackles you will have to extend your driveshaft almost for sure

I successfully run a 4" bracket with a 4" spring and a 1.5 inch spacer no problem

GOOD LUCK

I'm running 3 3/4 backspacing on a 15x10..Make sure you get the brakelines, the camber bushings, if you don't have them already. Stering Stabilizer is optional, but I recommend it. I'm running the Rancho. Loose the spacers and shackles, you won't need them. And you might want to invest in the Energy Suspensions bump stops, the drop brackets that come with the 5.5 are cheesey..Can't think of anything else at the moment..
Lift
drop pitman
extended Brakelines
"good" bump stops
Shocks(should come with the lift)
Yep, that should do it. Other than tools, drill bits, and grinding disk..
Good Luck.

1 yes get it VERY VERY much worth the cost!

2 Heck no makes it more fun the higher the better!

3 I too am running 15x8 with 3.75 and like em just fine

4 brake lines they cannot be moved they cannot be lengthened (easily) they are a pain in the A$$ to have custom made just buy some and be able to stop!!!

5 good luck and have fun!

spacers and shackles

I have the spacers and shackles on now. The front sits a little higher than the back.
When I install the SL, can I just remove the spacer and leave the shackles on? I would be happier if the back was a little higher than the front or even with the front.
I just had an alignment and they changed the camber bushings but they could not get it aligned perfectly. Do I need to buy some special bushings so that it can be aligned when I put on the superlift? I read about people saying to buy the ajustable camber bushings but not to get the ones by superlift. If so, who are they made by?

What length bump stops should I get?

Thanks for answering all these questions. I just want to get everything before I start and not have to stop and wait for parts. Things take a long time to get to Hawaii.
