Theres very little leg room in the back seats of the X. To improve this issue (and clear space for a cool enclosure) Is there a way to remove the explorer's center seats? I'm assuming its not possible because it is attached to the other seat.

I would believe it's quite hard, seeing as the long seat's support runs all the way down, do you cut it in half, and it loses stability. I suppose you could search a junkyard for another 1/3 short seat, and fab the mounts to fit the opposite side... hmm thats actually a really good idea.. lol

ugh, i know theres another member on here w/ that mod......lemme see if I can remember or come across in the next few days and i'll get back to you pal

one member did a writeup on taking out the bench and putting bucket seats in the back, he had to custom make the mounting bracket but it turned out very nice. he even has pics of the process
