Since my truck is becoming more of a street machine these days and I don't want my transfer case sucking any more power away from the rear wheels, I'm considering removing my transfer case and front driveshaft.

My question is....will a 2wd driveshaft from a junkyard bolt up to the output shaft of my tranny? Or do I have to get the 2wd driveshaft modified or even a custom driveshaft made? (hope not...more $$$)I know I have a 700r4 but the output shaft is the same as the A4LD. Thanks!

Also, since I'll no longer be using the 4x4, is there any part of the front axle that I can get rid of since it will be dead weight...like hubs, the axle shafts, etc?

Thanks!

James

do it right and get the front end off of a 4x2... and use the i beams instead of the ttb
