I have a 99 4x4 EB explorer and coming back from vacation (11 hour drive) when I stopped to get gas I noticed a slight burning rubber smell so I checked under the hood and nothing. . checked underneath and nothing. .no smoke and nothing looked un normal. When I got home and pulled in the garage and went inside and came back out I noticed smoke in the garage and burning rubber smell again. .. gave it a full check in and out and nothing. . so yesterday I drove it again for a hour adn half drive and when I got home i got out and saw smoke coming from my front passenger wheel! My first thougth was brake caliper sticking. . .and my abs light came on. . .any suggestions ????

burning smell

jack it up and try to spin the tire. by hand.

Bad speed sensor? Take a look at the sensor that goes into the hub assembly. see if it's melted.
