Getting the vin number

Order a 2013 Ford Explorer limited 302A package on March first! How long does it take before you get the vin number? Thanks in advance for y'all's help!

I ordered the same thing.

I placed my order on Feb. 7th. I just got my VIN yesterday and I was calling for it twice a week.

My window sticker, however, is still not available. Should be within the next few days.

I am expecting the truck to be at the dealer by the beginning of April.

Congrats on ordering! VINs are usually assigned around the same time the vehicle enters production; sometimes it's sooner. I can take a peek at your order and let you know its status. Send me a private message (PM) with your order number and dealer name/location; I'll do the rest!

Have VIN Trying for Delivery Info

I got the VIN and have seen the window sticker. Now I am trying to follow the shipment from factory to dealer. Can anyone help me locate this info? How do I send a PM to Crystal.

Depends on if your dealer has an allocation, and what priority code they gave your order (do a search here, it's been covered in depth). Once it gets "scheduled" it receives a vin. Scheduling is ONLY done on Thursday mornings, if your order doesn't show it got scheduled by the afternoon, it's not happening that week.

Today I heard back from my sales rep and I got the same response I 've seen others have gotten. "As of today the Explorer is on a train in IL. Apparently a train carrying many vehicles from Chicago Assembly had a mechanical problem which has resulted in delays for all of the vehicles onboard." Ordered my Sport Jan. 14.

I had to pull teeth to get my vin at 5 weeks but no window stick yet. Already got rid of the old suv so we are carpooling for now.
