Alright this just started today...

I haven't been able to figure out why, but while running errands I was zapped every time I reached for the car door to close it as I would leave the truck. It was a pretty intense zap too, well, not like painful, just... shocking hahaha. Wasn't wearing any different/new clothes that would generate static, nor could I not find any lose grounds on the aftermarket stereo/amp/lights that I have added.

WHAT GIVES?!

Winter time, the air is dry causing static. If all the grounds are good than you can add ground straps under the truck or a chain to touch the ground to eliminate the static (E.M.S. vehicles do this). It's common this time of year though, you might wanna add some more dryer sheets or fabric softener to the laundry next load. LOL.

Mine does the same thing in the winter. Just as Rebel said it's the drier air of winter.

Vigorously rub your shoes on the floor first. ;)

Or just let the girlfriend get out of the car first
