Ok for the intercooler.
Most superchargers do NOT come with an intercooler, this is simply becuase most superchargers/g loaders etc are belt driven where TURBO's are exhaut driven , because of the turbo's being exhaust driven this means that the turbo will get hot, if you pin the motor it can at night glow up

, wich is an nice sight, but unfortuanlt how hotter the turbo becomes it will also increase the temp of the intake air that cylces through the other side of the turbo, this is why many manufactures add an intercooler, after the turbo the air will go thru an heat exchanger (the intercooler) and is then forced thru the intake, this will coll the ingoing air down and thus also increase horsepower when the turbo becomes hot.
Turbo's will break 99% of the times becuase of these things :
* not letting it get warm (wich will wear the bearings in it)
* pin the motor up the 6500 rpm , then all of an sudden let off the gas, this will cause the motor to choke for an split second and the oil won't find it's way on the bearing, remeber the turbo get's red hot so even an slight hesitation on the oil delivery is disasterous
but back to the funnels.....i can't wait to see the pics, and it looks like an great idea to me...
hmmm the intercooler thing got me thinking now....it's possible to make something like it, but i'm thinking about placing the MAF sensor cause it would have to be placed AFTER the intercooler, not before....
