gibson exhaust?

i was lookin at getting the cat back system from Gibson. what do you guys think?

Highly recommend it. I put mine in not too long ago (went with the Stainless Steel version) and I love it. Install wasn't bad at all either.

I was looking at putting in a new exhaust as well. I don't know if just a new muffler would be a waste of if I should go for a cat back. I can't even find flow master cat backs for my truck on their website.

Flowmaster does mufflers only for our application. I currently have just a muffler, and tip on my X. I would much rather have the full 2.5'' exhaust. it makes one hell of a difference...

Yea I'm looking for a nice sound and maybe performance but I don't want to be dead from drone I do allot of long trips. I like sound just there is a limit haha.

currently i have a magnaflow muffler on my X... at highway speeds i cant hear the muffler, unless i get on the throttle to pass someone...

i cant wait to get my exhaust finished, with 2.5'' piping

Short video with a bit of revving. As you can see it's got a nice sound but it's definitely not overly loud. It doesn't even drown out the other noises the vehicle makes when running. The revving wasn't over 3000 rpm, it would have been a bit louder if I'd gone higher.

Inside the vehicle it's noticeable but not too loud for normal conversation. The loudest it gets inside is when you are around 1900 rpm...but lower or higher than that it's much more quiet.

depends on what kind of sound you're looking for. I had a super 40 dual outlet on my old truck and it was really loud...I wouldn't do that again.

I hear the 70 series sounds good and louder than stock without being annoying.

50 series flowmaster muffler is all i have and its not too loud outside the truck or inside.
the grunt is there tho. sounds good and not annoying.

Yea It seems the flowmaster 50 makes it sound a little more muscle and grunt which I kinda like I just don't know if that's gonna be overkill

50 series arent to bad, or consider a 70 series...

Magnaflow is also an option. I had a delta 40 on my 03, and now i have a magnaflow. Its much quieter, but when i get on it i can hear still

i just wanted to throw this out there... its a v8. so a muscle-ish rumble would be good.

V8 Magnaflows, and V8 50/70 series sound really good...

V8 completely changes things lol, cause no what your X is gonna sound mean. Its just gonna come down to the sound you want...

im thinkin i might get the flowmaster 50 series SUV. but i dont know what the SUV part means. is it just designed for SUVs?

my best interpretation would be that with the 50 series, you get a beefy sound, but is more tolerable when you have passengers lol...

a 50 series will sound mean for sure. LIMITED02 has a 2.5'' 70 series exhaust, and his sounds pretty mean, but the interior noise isnt that bad...
