It's been a while!! Well the sub is in the Explorer...been there for about 2-3 onths now and I love having that bass. The dvcs on the 1208x are actually 1 ohm, so we wired them in series for 2 ohms, the amp is giving a 4 ohm load. I'm only using one side of the amp so this summer I want to get another 1208x to match the ohms (as well as get more bass in there). It will be easier to work on the system in the summer when I'm back home (instead of away at college) and my dad can help me out. Maybe we'll look into an isoberic setup, he's been wanting to try that for a while...
Anyway my amp was overheating before and I was blowing fuses, we have the dvcs wired in parallel at 1/2ohm, with the amp at 8ohm. Not good. We just assumed the sub had 4 ohm voice coils but figured out they were dual 1ohm coils. So we wired it in series instead and the overheating and fuse blowing all the way. This isnt the best setup we can have, but it works until the summer..

Oh and I love driving through the parking garage and hearing car alarms go off!! I dont bump much around campus though, so many cars get broken into or stolen...
