yes it is full length... it looks like a good deal however i never got into all the info of an SAS so i am not sure that is the one you want.... and i dont beleive the rear 8.8" has a 4.09 ratio available, however i think 4.10s would probably suffice... bear in mind that that isnt a standard d44, its a heavy duty one and doesnt have the same bolt pattern as a f150/bronco of 5 on 5.5......
 






would it be too much of a hassle for him to change the bolt pattern or is that not even possible to do?
 






not 100% sure but i do know some companies make custom axleshafts and i beleive they can make new flanges for the studs..... however, if that happens i dont know what you do about the rotors and the brackets for the calipers.....
 






im almost positive he can use teh outers from a ford 5 lug d44. im converting a jeep front 44 as we speak to 5x5.5 mine i had to get small bearing spindles and rotors and hub assembly from a ford to do mine but i dont think you can do that with the 8 lug. would be easyer to get the 5 lug spindles and everything.
 






ok what does HP do different. all ive noticed is that pieces for it are all more expensive
