Hello all,

Extended shackles are illegal in my neck of the woods, so I'm considering a simple AAL/TT to get a bit of air under my rig.

Is there a good AAL on the market that people use?

I did search, but the results were overrun with folks who also did shackles.

Thanks!

I run a Superlift. Long AAL I ordered through Partsource

Id run the shackle, most of these guys have no idea what the difference is between stock and aftermarket. There are so many things that have been made illegal now, I find it's easier to just ignore all of it instead. I used to follow all the laws back in the day, but now it's gotten so out of hand and seems impossible for anyone to have some fun, so I decided to stop caring about all of them.

I run the shackles also along with an Aal

How much lift did you get from that?

Keep in mind I'm not looking for maximum lift, just a bit of extra tire clearance.

For everybody else, I really do appreciate your input, but the shackles are just not an option for various reasons.

I run an Aal shackles and Monroe load adjusts n the rear and easily ran 285 75 16 tires.

I'll post some pics tonight if wanted

I'd love to see pics.

Mostly I just want to make sure that a TT will make it level though.

it's all fun and games until your insurance company wipes you.

I'm not that worried. What I do is very safe, not half assed and you can't even tell it's done unless you really look at everything. They've made so many pointless laws at this point for everything (they're only to make money of course), there's just no point anymore in dealing with them; I don't even bother looking things up anymore. I know what's safe and what isn't, especially when one state says oh this is ok, and the next says it isn't. Oh right I forget as soon as you cross the state line the laws of physics change.

EDIT: That being said I'm not disagreeing with you because you are correct unfortunately. But to each their own. I'm not one of those guys who cuts cats off because they think they gain 300 hp by doing it. All my vehicles meet emissions requirements, are fully maintained, and would probably out handle, out brake and out accelerate any factory stock vehicle in it's class. So what I have is actually safer than what the factory put out. I can't tell you how many times my big brake kits have prevented accidents where I know there was no way in hell I would have stopped in time for that idiot pulling out with my stock brakes or the deer that decided he wanted to cross the road in front of me.

That sounds like the way I have my BMW set up.
Everything looks kosher but better than standard parts.
Not flashy but very efficient.
