If you install a Goodyear Serpentine Belt on your X, don't follow the routing diagram on the box, or you will spend half an hour trying to figure out why it does not fit. Follow the routing diagram under the hood in front of the radiator instead.

Agreed! Always follow the diagram under the hood of your vehicle.

my truck doesnt have any diagrams under the hood...or anywhere else either.....

Mine doesn't have a serpentine diagram either. Not that it would help now anyways....

well, mine doesnt have one seeing as how this is the 3rd front clip my truck has ever had... ;)and it is on its 5th or 6th hood... i dont even have the EPA sticker that says this vehilce conforms to the 1994 model year stuff

I guess the best thing for both of you to do would be to pay attention to the way the old belt is routed before you take it off or draw a picture. ;)

This is an area where digital cameras are great.....

haha... last time i changed mine i couldnt do that.... my belt ripped off when my radiator smashed back into the fan....

jim , you need to post pics of all these "incidents", the one mentioned above sounds intriguing:rolleyes:

If you have a Haines manual, it has the routing diagram in it. Chilton's probably does to.
:)
