I don't think you will find many people here that will give you a hard time about the Jeep thing (as you may have been expecting). I have a 1998 Limited, and I am planning to do a 2" TT/shackle lift. The reason most of us (I attempt to speak for the group) are here is because we enjoy the luxury and comfort of the Explorer, and are interested in the possibility of some light-to-medium duty off roading. There's not much doubt that the Jeep (in any of it's versions) is the superior hard-core off-roader.
