Got a new truck!

So the a4ld on my 93 was gettin tired, and i didnt feel like messin with it, and the engine needed a rebuild too soon, so i found a great deal on a 2 door 1994 X, 4x4 of course, with a 5spd, and maual tcase!
i got it for 1k, and its in really great shape.
i am now workin on swappin everythin i put in the 93, over to the 94.
as of now ive swapped the intake.
and then i did a flush of all fluids, tranny, oil, tcase, and diffs.
coolant is next.then i will do the tires, and stereo system, then brakes/ bearings.
im pretty excited about the new truck.
we got a boat and i figured this would handle it better than a bad auto tranny.
and the interior of this truck is in way better shape.
and im thinkin i will get better mileage now, since its a 5spd, and 2dr.

i will post some pics of it soon, photobucket is down right now.
and i plan to do some mods soon hopefully.

how big of a boat are you towing? the rating for the sports is a lot lower than the 4 doors if I remember right.

17' bayliner.
it only has to be towed 60 miles to the lake at the start of the summer, then the 5 miles form storage to the lake during, and then back home in the winter.

so its not gonna see tons of towing miles.

i figure it should handle it ok.
especially if i use 4x4 low range when comin up the load ramp, and just go straight, then when its flat, go back to 2x4.

i also plan to do an add-a-leaf to stiffen the reaf leafs for towin.

Also, now you can take the tranny out of the old truck and rebuild it yourself and then sell the truck.

that was the first thought. or i might even keep it as a parts truck just to have around, not sure yet.
