Ok, it's from the Y-pipe on the passenger side at the collector. Sounds like a sprinkler when given gas. The driver side was also leaking, but on both sides I put new lock washers on and now the driver side has no leak at all. The passenger was tightened twice today and I feel if I tighten it anymore I'll hear a snap, and then curse. Any ideas? They don't make gaskets for these do they? I may just decide to get them welded but would like an easier fix. Thanks!

Well, with the borla headers, i would contact them for a replacement gasket. Go with new bolts and nuts too. you dont want to weld the header collector to anything. You might want to take them off one day, and a ratchet is a lot easier down there than a saws-all.

Well, I contacted Borla asking them a couple questions. The gaskets where they connect to the heads are new, and for where the Y-pipe connects to the cat is new. Do they make gaskets for the flanges at the collectors?

As far as i know, borla specializes from the headers all the way back to the tail pipes. Do you have a complete borla exhaust? If so ask for a complete gasket set for your setup. They might have just what you need. If you are considering cutting and welding, just go ahead and run duals with with no "Y's" anywhere, just circular gaskets.

I have a Flowmaster system, just Borla headers. Do you think copper sealant will do anything? I'm not sure if mine is o2 sensor safe so I'd probably find some that says so on the can.

Permatex Ultra Copper is sensor safe, well the kind I bought before was. It saved me on some custom gaskets on a few projects before. its ugly but works :)

My X will be going to Midas on Wednesday, new fuel filter, plugs, wires, and no more leaks. They'll probably end up welding the Y-pipe connections.
