Hey guys,

Another newbie here - got 2 explorers- wife has an '03 XLT in silver/grey and I just got an '04 XLT in black.

I stumbled onto this site looking for tire sizes - mine's in the shop getting new brakes and I thought I'd go for tires too so it's getting 265/75/16 BFG AT T/A KO's. Sweet rubber, and it'll look cool with the aggressive stance.

I bought mine because my wife's is the best truck we've had. We've had Jeeps and Blazers and they just don't compete with the Ford trucks.

See ya around! :D

welcome to the site. I know what you mean with fords bieng better, it comes naturally you know haha :p.

That rubber will definatly make your truck look more aggressive. Hope to see ya around posting and replying to threads.

Hi and welcome. what part of CT do you call home?

Hello from a former Ct explorer owner. I will agree with you on the fact that Ford's seem to be built to a higher standard compared to other SUV's. I had a '96 grand cheraheep. That thing had one advantage over my '99 X, and that would be the Dana 30 front axle. Other then that it was a piece that was underpowered and was the worse vehicle I have ever driven off road. Once again welcome and a word of wisdom if you are near the Ct river watch out for mud and water levels in the cromwell meadows and Rocky Hill Meadows, I sunk my heap there
