I keep grenading my drivers side cv shaft. always in 4 low- it can't handle the locker at full droop with the wheel cut, pulls the inner joint right out of the housing. Any fixes? I don't really want to lose the torsion twist. I was thinking about a limiting strap to keep it from reaching full droop, but a better cv shaft is what I'd like to hear about.

quit cranking on the wheel and giving it the skinny pedal in low range...

it isnt only cv equipped vehicles, its any 4x4 system....

As far as I know, there are no better "factory fit" cv joints out there, so a limiting strap is your best bet. I have heard of people using other CV joints with some driveline modifications, but it would involve a bit of fabrication to make things fit.

Supposedly Superlift will send you some limiting straps for this problem. Their lift lets the suspension droop too far for the CVs to handle and pulls them out of the cups at the axle end. I've seen it mentioned on a thread or two before.

That was because they (Superlift) changed shock manufacturers. And they want to know the build/ship dates of your kit before they send out free straps. I tried to get them but it did not work, they told my kit was fine. So I had to buy mine from Summit.

:D :D :D Solid Axle Swap :D :D :D
I was blowing mine left and right and Im in the middle of stocking up parts for my SAS right now.... Fall of '08 will see a new Mutineer.

The limitting Straps are your best bet. Not much in the world of improved CV shafts as far as I have seen.....and believe me, I looked.
