Hey all,
I need some input on a problem I have been having with Red. It seems a low grinding sound has developed somewhere around the rear end during acceleration.
First thought is wheel bearings. I do have a spartan locker in the back which makes it a pain to try and remove the axles, however I did just recently replace a leaky axle shaft seal and inspected the bearing at the same time and did not see any damage.
Next thought is u-joints, but they generally make a clunking sound, not a grinding sound.
And the final horrible thought is actual damage to the carrier bearings.
Any input is appreciated before I start tearing into it
