Hello, hopefully someone can help me out. A week ago, I'm driving to work when my Ex started pulling to the left STRONGLY. As I drive along, the pull gets stronger and stronger until I hear a 'pssssssssssssssssssssst' sound. My drivers side tire went flat. I guide it off of the highway, change my tire and keep on hitting highway to work. The geniuses at Sears put a EXTRA LONG STEM in the tire and it ripped at the root, thus causing the air to leave the tire. Anyway...As I'm driving, I'm noticing a grinding noise that wasn't there BEFORE my tire went flat. Now it's there all the time and I don't know what it could be. Caliper bolts? Rotors? A little background: My passenger side CV boot is torn but it was torn for awhile before this. Any idea of what I should look at?

OK was the pulling the flat tire or BEFORE the flat tire. A grinding can be a lot of things best to to id jack that side up pull the tire and turn stuff by hand to locate what's grinding.

No, the pulling started because the tire was gradually going flat. I intend to jack it up when I get home from work tomorrow afternoon and give the tires a turn. I HOPE it's something simple.

jagarundi, did you ever find what it was? I am kind of having the same problem, except mine is when the 4 wheel drive engages
