Ok i've got a slight problem that im not sure if it'll end up with a wreck or not.

It doesn't happen when turning left or right at the same time, its either left or it's right and it switches side randomly. but when i turn i hear a rubbing .. or almost a grinding noise that even vibrates through the body. the harder the turn, the louder it is and the vibration is harder. and the faster the speed the louder and harder the vibration is also.

like i said before though, its one side or the other. i could be going left on a turn and it'll be smooth, but right turns are bad. then it'll switch up randomly.

I just dont know what it could be and i dont want the steering wheel to lock up on me or something that will cause a crash. Does anyone have any clues on what to look at or maybe even have had this problem yourself?

Does it do it whether you are in 4WD or not?

Have you jacked up the front tires and rocked them to see if your wheel bearings are loose?

Check your lugnuts if some are loose the gears in the hub will grind at times.

To me it sounds like wheel bearings. They will make noise more when turning (even a slight turn when on the freeway) when they go bad or get loose (which will make then go bad)

It could be other things too, but I'd check bearings first..

Tony H, im not sure about the 4WD, i have not had it working since i got the truck. im sure its an easy expensive fix but i never have a need for it so i haven't looked at it yet.

uh60james, i checked the lugnuts and they're all tight

i'll check up on the bearings tho, thanks for the replies
