I've got the torsion bars for my 95, and i'm getting this groaning noise when i go over speed bumps. It's not the wheels bearings, because it doesn't occur when it moving along the road. It only happens when the suspension is flexed quite a bit (going over speed bump at reasonable speed). It's not a constant moan when i'm moving, just a loud groans when the front of the truck is bouncing up and down from the hump. Any ideas?
I had a look at the torsion adjuster area, and noticed that the kevlar patch is pretty buggered. What does this kevlar patch do? I'm thinking that it creates a protective patch between the torsion bar and the frame. If it's worn out, could the groans be caused by the torsion bar making contact with whatever's above it?
Thanks!
BTW, i know a lot of 95+ owners have this problem. Anyone find a fix yet?
